I get a lot of requests for nutrition ideas. Here are some meal/snack ideas to help you in your nutrition planning…

Breakfast

Breakfast burrito made with corn or low carb tortilla, turkey sausage, egg whites and salsa with berries and black coffee.

Greek Yogurt and a slice of: Gluten Free Banana Bread-see recipe below-I made this and subbed out half the coconut oil for equal part plain non-fat Greek Yogurt. I also used all oat flour instead of the gluten free blend flour, subbed out the honey for dark agave, and replaced vanilla extract with maple extract. This stuff ROCKS, my whole family loved it.

Lunch

Coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage) with red onion and celery a dash of sea salt and pepper and Ken’s Lighthouse honey mustard with chicken breast and an apple
or
Turkey wrap with lettuce, tomato, onion and roasted red pepper hummus
Drink: Lipton’s iced green tea-love all the berry flavors

Dinner

It’s summer! Grill up chicken, tilapia, mahi mahi, or salmon. Make a foil pack with your favorite veggies. Always make extra meat to put on tomorrow’s lunch

Quest Bar (HyVee-Try the cookies and cream or the white chocolate raspberry)
Kind Bar
Pear with low fat cottage cheese
Peanut butter on banana
